History of Cat Care Plus

I finished working in the corporate world after 25 years service. It was time to move on and as I have an interest and passion for cats I decided to start-up a cat care service. In 2004 I studied a Pet Sitter Course with the Animal Care College and passed with a distinction.

This enabled me to become an Associate Member of the Animal Care College

My own cat, Sooty, whom I got from Battersea Dogs Home (, has been with me now for seven years. Sooty was placed in a cattery when I went on holiday. He was very unhappy when I collected him and I decided that he would never have to go in a cattery again. My neighbour looked after him when I went on holiday and I returned home to a happy and relaxed cat. I have also looked after friends’ cats when they went on holiday.

This gave me the idea of setting up a home cat care service. My vet encouraged me to start it up and consequently my service is recommended to his clients. I have built up a good relationship with my clients (and their owners!) and have references to backup their satisfaction with the service.
